Ty Croeso is a small community project on the High Street in Clydach. We are one of the distribution centres for Swansea Foodbank (Tuesday mornings), and a branch of Celtic Credit Union (Friday afternoons). During those sessions we also invite people to drop in as we are a registered ‘Place of Welcome’.
We also host a Seated Exercise class, a conversation group for those learning the Welsh language, a well-being group, and 1:1 counselling with a qualified counsellor. Families Anonymous meets here on 1st and 3rd Thursday evenings at 7.30 p.m.
We serve Fair Trade coffee and tea, offer a range of leaflets and information, and have small sales table to support us in our work.
Ty Croeso is run by a group of individuals drawn from several local churches, as well as some of another faith or none. We partner with others in running a monthly well-being walk starting from Ty Croeso or the library, and with Capel y Nant in running a monthly Tea and Hymns session for older residents. We are very generously supported by the Methodist Circuit and District, by many generous individuals, as well as by Vale Nickel Works and the local Community Council.
